The 2012 Lake County Petite Sirah is a mash up of fruit sourced from different vineyards throughout the county. Definitely a bold wine which is to be expected from Lake County Petite Sirah. This wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged on American oak for 30 months.
The wine is loaded with baked blueberry and spice. The wine is well structured with a load of tannins, but are controlled by the fruit which finishes with tobacco and dust.
Ageability: This wine should be consumed in the next eight to twelve years.
The 2013 Pinot Noir from Clarksburg, conveys ripe cherry, dusty truffles, and spiced clove on the nose. The mouthfeel has a subtle richness but displays strawberry jam and dark chocolate covered cherries.
The finish is quite long for a Pinot and continues to envelope the palate with dark cherry and spice.
